    A. Timebox is a simple agile project management tool. Timebox manages Iterations of any length and puts multiple iterations into Releases. Whether or not your process is iterative, Timebox can add value to it.
    Timebox is cloud-based, so you can evaluate it in 5 minutes if you’re in a hurry. If you decide to try it out, you can import your entire backlog of user stories easily.

  • Q. Do I have to be on a Scrum project in order to use Timebox?
    A. No, while Timebox works great for Scrum teams, it also works well for other agile methodologies. You don't have to have sprints or even releases. Manage your work however you like!

  • Q. How will Timebox help my Scrum team?
    A. Timebox will allow your Product Owner to prioritize your user stories, so that you can plan your spints quickly. Timebox will track your velocity and automatically size your sprints before your sprint planning meeting. You will plan quicker and deliver features faster.

  • Q. Where did Timebox come from?
    A. We built Timebox for our own company's internal use and started using it ourselves in 2011.

  • Q. Who created Timebox?
    A. Equus Software, an agile shop that develops software using Scrum to automate human resources processes. Equus has been in business since 1999.

  • Q. Will Timebox always be free?
    A. No, probably not. We won't ask anyone to pay to use Timebox until the product is providing lots of value to lots of people. If you are one of our first users, you will receive a permanent discount on standard fees.

  • Q. Why is Timebox free?
    A. The goal of Timebox is to create the best agile project management tool on the market. The site is provided free to the agile community in return for feedback and suggestions that will help to continually improve the application.

  • Q. Is Timebox open source?
    A. No.

  • Q. Can I invite anybody with any email address to join my project?
    A. Yes. You can invite anyone with a valid email address.

  • Q. How do I configure sprint length?
    A. Click on the project settings menu link at the top of the page and change the length of iteration in the drop down.
